On July 22nd, on So You Think You Can Dance, Melissa and Ade danced to Emmy nominated choreographer Tyce DiOrio’s piece inspired by a woman’s struggle with breast cancer. See the "So You Think You Can Dance" Breast Cancer Video.
On the show’s 99th episode on July 22 the top 8 dancers had a chance to dance for one more week in the spotlight. And for Melissa Sandvig and Ade Obayomi that meant interpreting a choreography created by Emmy nominated choreographer Tyce DiOrio, who chose to make the dance a comment on the fight against breast cancer. Visually striking, Melissa danced with a flowing bandana around her head in an emotional routine to the song This Woman’s Work, by Kate Bush.

DiOrio’s choreography, and Katie Holmes’ foundation celebratory performance, are effective and very creative ways to bring important issues closer to the public’s attention. Hopefully, the dancing reflexion will have a positive influence in people’s involvement in causes like breast cancer and art development.
The 100th episode of So You Think You Can Dance featuring a performance by Katie Holmes airs on, July 23rd, at 9pm EST on FOX.
